Art Deco Onyx & Brass Mourning Brooch ~ RARE

This rare-to-find, Art Deco era mourning brooch is a rare find...elegant and simple design with geometric shapes and floral curves is bevel-slant edged and thick as it is stacked in construction...a 3mm thick piece of black onyx is sandwiched between two brass plates and finely joined in two places, artfully the centers of each petal flower on the front. This chic piece honors the memory of Ann Davis, her name engraved on the back of the brooch.

This 1920's pin measures 1.25" inches tall X 1.75" inches wide. Original pin mechanism was replaced at some point, and it was well attached. Excellent condition.
