This pre-1975 vintage Christmas tree pin, signed by Beatrix, is reminiscent of the late 1950's-mid-1960's aluminum sparkler pom-pom Evergleam tree, which featured silver foil needles with starburst-like pom poms at the end of each branch and illumination from below via a rotating color wheel. So cool!
Each "pom pom" or flower at each branch's end tip has a jeweled center, a single rhinestone in pink, red, blue, citrine orange, emerald green, and purple. Trunk has a three-way split and topper is a red rhinestone with a three-pointed star.
This tree is shown on page 21 of the Nancy Trowbridge book, Christmas Tree Pins (Published 2002, $45-$65), and on page 64 of the recently published book by Jill Gallina, Christmas Pins Past & Present (3rd Edition).
This wonderful Beatrix tree measures 2.25" inches tall X 1.5" inches at its widest point. Back of tree is hallmarked "Beatrix" with the copyright symbol on a raised, rectangular cartouche. Super excellent condition.
