This copyright 1980, serial number 150 Texas belt buckle is shown in 'Collecting Men's Belt Buckles' by Joseph Saitta, published in 2000.
This brass buckle is oval shaped with letters “TEXAS”, as well as pictures of cacti, rock plateau, large sun, an old wagon wheel and a steer skull with horns. Buckle measures 2 3/8” inches tall X 3 3/8” inches wide. Back of buckle is signed "The Great American Buckle Company, Chicago, Made in USA Copyright 1980, Serial number 150".
Attached to this collectible buckle is an embossed brown leather belt, 1.5“ inches wide X 52.25“ inches long. Embossed design has scallop-like shells or fans with bold lines.
Buckle is in excellent condition (can be polished, if buyer so desires) and belt has been cleaned and conditioned with a high quality leather cleaner & conditioner. Tear in belt near buckle, which can be repaired. Neat vintage belt! DRCC 106-2014
