This pair of large one penny cent bronze coins are antique 1908 & 1909 Great Britain (England/English), which were converted into a neat pair of cufflinks. One side shows the profile of King Edward VII, and on the other side, the relief of an ancient soldier holding a shield with the British flag and a trident in the other hand. This soldier sports a Roman Centurion style brush helmet on his head, as well as wearing a toga or tunic and sandals.
Coin cufflinks measure 1.25” inches or 30mm across; They are 1” inch wide with the angled cufflink apparatus. Cufflink mechanism was attached with a strong resin that will stay tightly in place. Coins were lightly polished. Very good condition; coins have wear commiserate with 104 years of antique age. DRCC 82-2014
