This Art Deco era Chinese silver export, three-dimensional domed pair of earrings features genuine jadeite jade (4) and pink sapphire cabochons (3) in raised bezel and twisted rope settings. Each genuine, semi-precious stone cabochon measures between 5mm-6mm across. Bezel set cabochons are surrounded by Etruscan Revival "flowers", with thin petals, all clustered closely together.
Each earring measure 3/4" of an inch (21mm) across X 1/2" an inch high (3D). Earring backings have a filigree design with screw backs. These tested 800 silver earrings are unmarked.
This fabulous set was purchased in the 1930's by my client's grandfather, Captain Ben, who was a merchant marine. He carefully stored his collection away, never worn, so the earrings are in mint condition. Wow!!
