In 1968, this impressive set, designed by Eugene Bertolli, won the Napier Co. the Swarovski "Designer of the Year" award. The massive gold plated brooch and pendant combo and earrings have elaborate, curled leaves with huge round aurora borealis stones, prong set in their centers.
This awesome set is shown on page 406 in the book, "The Napier Company, Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry" by Melinda L. Lewis with Henry J. Swen, just published in November (2013). See 2nd photo. Entire set is valued at $275-$375.
Pendant measures nearly 3" inches tall X nearly 3" inches wide. Stone in the center of the pin/pendant measures a full 1" inch across! Each earring measures 1.25" inches across and back of clips are hallmarked, "NAPIER" and "PAT PEND". Back of pin/pendant is hallmarked "NAPIER" on the back, just below the bale loop. Excellent condition.
NOTE: I have a 28" inches long Trifari gold plated link chain shown with this set for display purposes only. If you'd like to buy it, I can add $20 to the price of the Napier parure. I can also search for a Napier chain for the lucky buyer, if desired.
