This elegant cut glass and silver plated iced tea pitcher or decanter is as elegant as it is functional. It was made in Germany, vintage 1960's-1970's, and originally meant to serve white wine, but it would be great for iced tea or any other refreshing beverage. Great wedding gift!
The removable glass tube fills with ice to keep your drink cold, but not watered down. Screw top is silver plated with a flip top, which you open to insert the ice filled tube. Cold drinks, not diluted by ice melting!
The cut glass pattern boasts a bunch of grapes with leaves on each side of the pitcher. Handle is curved and also sterling silver plated. Bulging base of the pitcher has bevel cut marquis shapes all the way around.
Pitcher measures 10.5" inches tall, 6" inches across bottom, 4" inches across top and 21" inches around. Excellent condition. I will gently polish silver plated parts with a Sunshine Cloth before shipping. DRCC 12-2014
