This extraordinary, Castlecliff signed necklace has 10 strands of alternating clear and colored nailhead crystals by Swarovski of Austria, which are rare and retired. The gold and light colorado topaz colored ones were custom made by this company for Castlecliff.
Sometimes to referred to as "aspirin" crystals or beads, they sparkle so much due to the 17 facets on each side, as well as the 34 facets around the entire outer edge of each bead...that's 68 facets on bead to catch and mirror the light! These rare and retired Swarovski 5100 beads now sell for $1.00-$1.50 per bead, so the 475 beads alone on this necklace are worth around $595.
These crystals each measure 6mm across and in-between are strung gold and clear seed beads. Maximum wearable length with extender chain is 17" inches. Clasp is Castlecliff's signature overlapping oak leaves in gold plate. Back of each one is hallmarked "CASTLECLIFF", as well as the inside of the fish hook. This necklace is in excellent condition, with only very minor wear to the mirrored finish on one side of each of the beads. Really stunning!
