This lovely, late 1980's Christmas tree pin was designed and signed by Anne Harvey after she studied jewelry design in Taxco, Mexico. It features a sweet reindeer animal overlay with etched antlers standing beneath a towering, tiered tree under a rising night time crescent moon.
This collectible tree is featured in Jill Gallina's book, Christmas Pins Past and Present. This lovely holiday arbor is hallmarked "Anne Harvey Mexico 925" (Sterling Silver). It measures 2" inches tall X 1.25" inches at its widest point. It is in excellent condition, save for a 4.5mm wide loop scratch above the reindeer's body. Original patina is intact, but if the buyer so desires, I can lightly polish it with my Sunshine Cloth.
Bit O' History: Anne Harvey was introduced to the silver jewelry business in 1984 while studying Spanish in Mexico. For the next four years, Anne lived, worked and studied jewelry design in the city of Taxco, Mexico. In 1989, she partnered with her sister Jane to create a collection of sterling jewelry inspired by the natural world around them, and Anne & Jane continue to collaborate to this day in Northern California.
