This vintage signed Vendome cocktail ring was part of their initial 1963 collection, many of which were featured in a full page advertisement in Vogue Magazine that year (See 2nd photo).
This is one of the most highly sought after 1960's Vendome cocktail ring designs and a rarer one to find. Textured, shiny gold tone petals unfold to reveal a swirled dark jade green glass cabochon stone, surrounded by tiny clear rhinestones, all pave set in silver tone for a neat contrast.
The head of the ring measures 1 1/8" inches X just below 1" inch. It rises a little more than 1/2" an inch from the finger.
The band is adjustable from ring sizes 5-8 US, and the slide band is square-shaped, ensuring the ring to stay in a level position on the top of your finger. This classic ring is stamped Pat. 2,961,855 (for the square band) on the inside of the ring band and hallmarked "Vendome" under the domed setting. It is in really excellent condition. This runway-worthy, vintage cocktail ring always get noticed!
NOTE: These Vendome cocktail rings were advertised in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar Magazines from 1963-1969.
