It is very rare to find a Victorian/Art Nouveau era 14K gold bangle bracelet with such large and high quality peridot stones and a lovely seed pearl floral design, much less in such pristine condition! It's very obvious, looking at it from all aspects under magnification, that it was very lightly worn during its era, and it has since been stored in a jeweler's vault.
This exquisite 14K gold antique bangle is bezel set with three round, faceted peridot stones, "each .85 carat and measuring 6mm across. Each one is AAA quality, a fancy, intense green with excellent clarity and deep saturation", to quote the graduate gemologist whom appraised them.
Weight of the bracelet is 25 grams or 16.075 dwt (pennyweights).
Back of one of the leaves is hallmarked 14K, as well as marked with the overlapping letters "T" and "C" for the fine jewelry artisan who handcrafted this magnificent piece.
Along with these amazing peridot beauties, the front of this bracelet boasts a very feminine floral leaf design dotted with 62 genuine, creamy white seed pearls.
Inside circumference of bracelet is about 7" inches. Bracelet has an oval opening. Top or front of bracelet measures 8.3mm wide or approximately 3/8" of an inch. Back of bracelet is 5.7mm wide or approximately 1/4" of an inch.
This Victorian or Art Nouveau era bracelet (late 1800's-early 1900's) with hinged bangle is supplied with a locking clasp along with a 14K gold safety chain for security. This extremely fine, all original bangle is crafted from solid 14k yellow gold and has fully tested as such. The safety chain also tested positive for 14K gold, but it might have been added on later.
The graduate GIA-certified appraiser figures the retail replacement value of this bracelet at $11,000. It is truly a rare beauty!
NOTE: This bracelet will only be up for sale through July 1, 2014, so don't let it get away! Up to 30 day layaway plans accepted on this consignment piece.
