This five year old little boy is the son of a vintage jewelry dealer friend of mine. He was all dressed up on that Saturday in 1949, posed holding his bat, ready to attend his first Boston Red Sox ball game. His uncle worked at Fenway Park and got him an official ball boy uniform for a birthday present, which he is wearing in this photograph. What better way to celebrate the hundredth (100th) anniversary of Fenway Park this year!
What a great story and a super sweet photograph. The photo is in excellent condition. Black and white photo. The little boy grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts. Photo measures about 3" X 5" inches.
