Circa 1830's: Early Encrusted Coalport Vase & Cover
I am simply amazed every time I study the design and decorative application of the individually molded, hand painted with enamels and applied petals and leaves on this early unsigned Coalport vase with cover. An egg shell white porcelain with gold gilded accents makes for a lovely background to show off the blooming and bursting forth bouquet of flowers. The array of colors are soft and realistic. It is in remarkable condition with just two tiny chips as shown in the fifth and seventh photos. The branch shaped handles and blooming top cover add to it's exquisite charm. It is a larger piece and measures 12" high and 17" in circumference around the middle. An English Garden Delight!
