*1920's- 1930's: One Dozen Matching Glass Buttons

When my grandparents and their friends would go out, be it the opera, theater, window shopping or dancing and dining, fashion was a must. From top hats ,to garters for the socks and silk stockings, right down to the last button attention to detail was a must.Changes to apparel were made by changing appliques or accessories. And well NaNa had quite an eye and a seamstress to do just that. This wonderful set of 12 matching glass buttons are in great condition.Made of black glass and a floral design in a high relief and finished off with a gold luster paint that was hand painted and fired on.The back is composed with a brass shank and plate. Each button measures 3/4" in diameter and all are free of cracks, chips or scratches.Whether you are a clothing designer or jewelry designer these marvelous buttons are sure to finish of that design from an era when "Putttin' on the Ritz" was the way to go.
