This is one of the most elegant set of table linens I have yet to feast my eyes on.This 1930's ensemble was a wedding gift and is in beautiful condition. No spots, stains and was dry cleaned, but does need a fresh pressing. The 96" x 60" oblong table cloth has a lovely and free flowing damask weave of leaves on vines with an interior frame waiting for creative tablescapes to be added. There are 7 matching napkins ( 18 1/2" x 18 1/2" ) in the same pattern and an extra 11 coordinating ones with a lovely floral weave.Besides the rare color scheme of the gray and pink all pieces can be reversed depending on your mood or season from gray with pink highlights to a pink background with gray highlights.I believe the linen is a blend of cotton and silk from the high sheen it gives off.The perfect back ground for sterling and a work of art in pattern and texture.New research shows this ensemble was made in the late 1930's!
