Florence Ceramics Diane Figurine, Pasadena, CA, 1972

This sweet "Diane" figurine from The Florence Ceramics company in Pasadena is a diminutive 8 1/4 inches tall. She is in excellent condition, with gold details on her hat, muff, coat, and her dainty shoe peaking from under her ruffled skirt. A little "extra" is the tape on the bottom listing provenance from an estate with the date the gift was received: August 12, 1972. I have left this tape intact, but a new owner could remove it if so inclined. Original markings on the bottom indicate that this is the Diane figure from Florence Ceramics in Pasadena, CA, and a tiny BJ. Florence Ward of the Florence Ceramics company drew her inspiration for her elegant figurines from Godey's Lady's Book and paintings by the Old Masters. The company was in business from WW II to 1977.
