Pansy Applique and Embroidery Quilt, c. 1930-1940

This quilt is just adorable! The color is a vibrant pinky-purple and white, with pink/purple and yellow pansies and green leaves. The back is solid white. The measurements of this quilt are 78" by 78." I have displayed it atop a queen size bed for comparison. It would be perfect on a full size bed, and more like a bedspread on a twin. The stitching is small, about 8 stitches per inch, and the quilting is extensive. The borders of the quilt have an almost heart-shaped figural pattern which is different than the interior of the quilt. Each pansy is embroidered.

The condition of the quilt is very good, with only one small spot where the stitching has come loose and a few small discolorations. I have tried to show these areas in the photos.
