Funky Vintage Creed Sterling & Glass Rosary – 40 Grams

The clear glass beads have a watery feel and organic sparkle that shines without artificial coatings that wear away over time. They are gently faceted with variations in size and shape, so I presume they are not machine made. The pater beads are adorned with two pierced sterling bead caps, and the traditional heavy-weight o-rings between the ave beads add length and strength to facilitate prayer. All beads are original and in excellent vintage condition with no apparent chips or scratches.

At the center is a cruciform scapular medal. On the face is a very stylized Jesus holding His Sacred Heart with one hand and granting benediction with the other. A traditional and nicely sculpted Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is on the verso with a well-defined halo of stars and prominent scapular.

The bold, stocky crucifix is a work of art that encourages introspection. It has the energy and impact of William Blake's artwork with a gorgeous full-molded corpus that is both languid and vibrant in Christ's passion on the cross. The style is stark and smooth, and the patina around the edges of the shiny cross focuses our attention on the smooth, matte-finished corpus. Both components are hallmarked "Creed Sterling."
