Early 10.5" Teenage French Fashion Doll with Cobalt Eyes

This small and young looking French fashion Poupee is one of the earlier ones with her stationary neck, very pale bisque, rigid kid body and cobalt eyes. Unmarked, she is possibly made by by the prolific manufacturer of French fashion heads of the 1870's, E. Barrois. Her more slender face suggests a teenage girl of the period. Her bisque head is perfect without any damage or restoration.

Her kid body is in excellent original condition with some darkening around the individually stitched fingers of her right hand. Otherwise all stitching is present and the body stands nice and straight.

She wears a vintage whitewear eyelet dress decorated with flowers and silk ribbon and a replaced high quality mohair wig with long ringlets. Underneath she wears cotton vintage drawers and socks but no shoes.

Add a natural straw hat and a parasol and she will be delighted. In the last picture I have shown her with an antique hat which is not included in the sale but is there to show you how cute she looks with a straw hat. I think a natural straw one would be adorable.
