Sessions 2-Spring Tambour Bim-Bam Mantle Clock

Sessions issued a few "bim-bam" strike tambours in the mid-1930's (seen in Tran Duy Ly Book from a 1936 catalogue). Bim-bam refers to the double, or two-tone strike of the hours. This is a beautiful wooden case camel-back style clock with a pie crust edge on the bottom. Front design is a lighter stain to show off the fan shaped decoration. Metal dial is in excellent condition. The original paper is still on the back inside door of the clock and shows model number 8606 and all original instructions. Key-wind 8-day. With proper care and maintenance this vintage clock would be a nice addition to any mantle.

Dimensions: 22-3/4"w x 9-3/4"h x 5"w
