Jewelers Regulator, circa 1890, Wm L. Gilbert. The oak case is not original to the movement but both movement and case are antique and where together when we acquired it. The case at one time housed an old time recorder. The movement, circa 1890, Wm L. gilbert, "Jewelers Regulator" timepiece. The movement, dial, hands and weights are all original. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition. The weights and pendulum are in good condition with age related spots and minor imperfections. The top glass appears to be original "old" glass. The bottom glass was completely missing. We designed a stained glass inset that we felt would enhance the beauty of the clock. the surrounding glass is "antiqued" wavy glass with amber squares inserted, the center glass is clear. This is a highly collectible piece.
