Rare Lenci Spanish Lady Boudoir Bed Doll with Stern Expression

Rare Lenci Spanish Lady Boudoir Bed doll. She is a very rare Lenci doll with a very stern expression, not your typical Lenci face. She was in the 1925 Lenci catalog. The doll is 29 inches tall. Her facial expression and facial coloring is outstanding. She is all original. She has disk jointed legs with floppy arms, 1 arm is sewn in position to the body. She is holding two pair of castanets with wool wrapped around the dolls fingers with the original tassels, and a felt rose. On one wrist she is wearing 2 wooden bracelets and has 1 wooden bracelet on the other, she also has matching wooden hoop earrings and a wooden cross that is on a black felt ribbon. The dolls hair is all black felt pulled into the back and stuffed and made into a bun. She also has felt curls framing her face, and a black felt hat. The doll has layers of organdy slips, a wire hoop slip, and organdy pantaloons. The outer skirt is organdy with flowers appliques of felt that are sewn on with various colored wool and embroidery threads. There is some light fading to the flowers on the skirt sporadically and a few holes in the felt and in the organdy, a few spots on the organdy have reinforcement in the back. The top half of the doll has no fading. The jacket is very brightly colored as is the hat. The black scarf is wool with strands of wool tassels. There are minor holes in a line on a fold in the scarf, no holes in the jacket. She has black diamond pattern stockings, with a few spots of mending. She has black felt shoes with wooden heels covered with felt. This is an incredibly beautiful and rare Lenci in very good condition.
