Handsome antique Solid Silver Cow Creamer, dating to the 19th Century Continental Silver. The long horned Cow is muscular and realistic in form and gesture, with wonderful detailing around the head and utters. The circular tail serves at the handle of the Creamer; the cream flows from the mouth of the Cow when poured. The decorative hinged lid on its back lifts up to reveal the hollow body inside and where the Creamer is filled. The antique Silver Animal Creamer measures 4" long and 2 1/2" high. It weighs approximately 78 grams. Small hallmarks are located on the tail but not struck well enough to make out. The antique Creamer is in very good condition; note some tarnish and oxidation in areas. Normal surface scratching visible when highly magnified. There black ink number and design on the underside of the Creamer's hinged lid. The antique Continental Silver Cow Creamer with Pouring Mouth shows very well in the photographs and best in person! Note the Cow is picking up reflections of the room while being photographed. The photographs were taken with and without a camera flash.
