Pair Of Antique Oil On Board Primitive Paintings In Antique Gold Gesso Frames

A nicely done pair of Primitive European style landscape oil paintings on board that are mounted in matching gold gesso composition frames. One scene depicts a man with a fishing pole slung over his shoulder walking away from a rivers edge. A large spire like mountain is in the foreground with snow capped peaks in the distance. The second painting shows a lady holding a long pole near a homestead or farm with a large cliff behind the home and snow capped peaks in the distance. There are no signatures on either work but the style of the paintings is almost identical leading us to believe they were done by the same artist. Measurements are 7.25 by 9.50 inches sight size on both and 11.25 by 13.50 inches framed. Paintings are in good condition with some soil, minor scuffing, and age but no holes, or areas of paint loss. The frames have wear, crackle throughout and some missing gesso pieces as can be seen in the photographs.
