Carnelian, Agates and Contrasting Enhancements Create an Unusual Necklace Set

The 50x40mm pendant is a Brazilian Agate in an 'arrowhead' shape with beautiful variegated swirls. It drops from a gold-filled bail which sits in the middle of a unique raised snake patterned sterling silver curved Bali tube bead. What follows is basically a contrast as far as the enhancement beads. Vermeil, gold-filled or gold-plated spacer beads alternate with sterling silver spacer beads and an unusual open cut diamond shape sterling silver Bali bead. Mixed with these elements are 20mm "Crab Agate" round disks, 20mm Carnelian barrels and 8mm round Carnelian round beads. The clasp is a 41mm Vermeil hook and eye clasp. The earrings contain the same elements as the necklace and drop from a gold-filled ball, sterling silver ear wire.

The necklace measures 19 1/2" in length, plus the length of the pendant (2 1/4") making the overall length 21 3/4". The earrings drop 1 1/2" from the ear wire.

I love the richness of Carnelian and have used both gold-filled and sterling silver findings to enhance the tones. This time I decided to combine the two colors of findings to give it a versatile yet unique look. This piece is bold and makes a statement all it's own ~ giving any outfit a 'shout it out' appeal!
