An absolutely stunning German china half doll. She has an elaborate powdered "Madame Pompadour" style wig and painted black necklace with a matching black ribbon in her hair. She is gazing off to the right with both arms away brought back to her chest. There is great detail taken with her features, including delicately painted eyes and lips, as well as, exceptionally good porcelain used to execute this piece. She stands 4.5" tall, marked on the base "Germany dep 150/39" with four sew holes. Circa: 1920's Maker: Karl (Carl) Schneider (note the mark and number identify the doll as Schneider, the Schneider symbol is only faintly visible above the `dep' and was difficult to show in photo.) Condition: Excellent, the porcelain on the rim has a couple of rough spots (see photo) but it is not a chip or crack.
