A fine looking Gouda Holland art deco decorated bowl with cover measuring approximately 5.5" across and 5.5" tall to the top of the cover (3" tall base w/o cover). The bowl is circa 1925-1926 commissioned by the Ivora factory and made by the PZH factory. During this time the Ivora factory lacked the production capacity and commissioned the PZH factory to manufacture such pieces giving this particular pattern the "Princess" name. The bowl is true art deco form with rich natural tones in brown, with yellow, blue, green, and orange leaf decoration. The bottom is footed with the mark in center, the mark is quite difficult to make out but appears to be as follows " ##? L/S (states model, mold number), Princess (depicts pattern name),?, Ivora, Holland, C.B.? (artist`s initials)" the numbers "185" up the side (also referring to the model, mold, or pattern number.) Condition is excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines, or nicks.
