Watercolor on Paper by AT Bazane Barbizon

A beautiful watercolor on paper of the setting sun by Artist A.T. Bazane (1846-1921). Signed lower right, the watercolor measures 14x20 set in an ornate gold frame. The watercolor is in excellent condition, the frame is missing a piece in the lower left corner, otherwise good. Regarding the artist, we have found a few examples of his work available at galleries, he has been listed as both a California artist and as a French artist. His body of work shows a heavy influence of Barbizon School and is well executed.
