Fine c.1880 Ruby Cut Glass Double End Smelling Salts & Scent Perfume Bottle

A very fine double ended ruby glass scent bottle with an unusual and distinctive flattened top and curved side body. The smelling salts end has a spring loaded silver gilt catch lid, the perfume end a cork lined silver gilt screw top. Both tops are masterfully embossed and engraved with foliate scrollwork and flower heads, each has has a vacant disk for initials or dedication. Condition: minor surface age and use wear; very minor rubbing to the gilt; nothing further found - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. Seller operates a 100% purchase price money back returns policy if not completely satisfied. Circa 1880, the tops are apparently not marked, but have tested positively for silver. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 15cm/6in.
