We recently got a shipment of different types of bead frames in Bali silver, and have fallen in love with the framed bead look! So we'll be adding more of this style in different types of gems. If you don't see your favorite, please ask! We may be able to make a pair just for you!
Here's a pair in a delicate sky-blue nephrite jade. These stones are 8 mm, and are really lovely! The woven Bali silver round bead frame is surrounded by silver-plated spheres. The earrings hang just over 1 inch below the sterling earwire. As with all of our earrings, these come in ziplock bags to keep tarnish away and have clear soft rubber earnuts to keep them securely in place.
Nephrite is the less rare of the two minerals commonly known as jade. The amount of iron present determines its color: Low iron levels create lighter colors like white, cream and pale gray, while higher levels produce darker grays and greens. Nephrite's name comes from the Latin lapis nephriticus, meaning "kidney stone," since it was often worn to remedy diseases of the kidneys. These stones have been color-enhanced (dyed) to give them a beautiful sky-blue color.
Jade promotes well-being and prosperity, and the colors incorporate the feeling of spring to lush summer. Jade has silky Earth vibrations. Throughout the Orient, Jade has been used to bring good fortune, patience, and wisdom to one's life, and is still considered a stone of nobility, health, and blessings!
All of our items are one of a kind, hand-crafted and designed with a true love of the glorious gemstones of Mother Earth. Thank you for looking, and Brightest Blessings!
