Rare 18th C Chain Trammel for Fireplace Hearth Cooking

Here is a wonderful and I believe rare wrought iron chain trammel. This trammel has hooks at both ends and It may be that the hook that I hung it from to take the pictures may be the hook that was closest to the fire and held the pots over the fire. The middle of the trammel are interlocking iron rings. This trammel measures 50 inches long.
