Antique, 1860's to 1910, French Fashion Lace with Very Fine Netting and Hand Embroidery Skirt

Fit for an eighteenth century-princess or a twenty-first century partygoer. Sensational and full of yummyness. French Fashion of fine netting and hand embroidery on a generous size skirt. Obviously the top has been cut away, I am sure this was an exquisite dress. I wish, as I often do, with my antique and vintage pieces that they could tell me what parties on the lawn, teas on the veranda, night walks by a river in moonlight they have been on. They have a past and a story to tell but their journey is not over. Skirt has three stains that look like rust and one small hole which I have pictured. None are a deal breaker for this beauty to have an important part in being a dress again, shawl or a breath taking bride veil. Could be the overlay to a custom bride gown. Scalloped edge and hand embroidery detail of flowers and delicate detail.

Measures 32" long and flairs to 45" wide.

As found, haven't altered in any way. Measures 36+" at the elastic waist and is appx. 84" around. From 1860's to 1910
