Leni Kuborn Kitzbuehel Necklace circa 1950
Here we have a beautiful and rare choker necklace with the original paper tag of Leni Kuborn Grothe Kitzbuehel. Leni wan an Elsa Schiaparelli designer. Her own pieces are highly sought and hard to find. They were made in Austria Kitzbuehel 1945 - 1956 and sold at a ski resort.
This hand sewn necklace features Hand set mirror back paste, sequins and creamy faux pearls sewn on a gold back drop. The ends of each tie are adorned with faux pearls and sequins as well. The backing is of pink ribbon. It has an over all length, including the ties of 27-1/2'' with the center beading being 12'' x 1/2''. The largest pearls are 3/8'' in diameter.
Our collectible estate necklace is in remarkable condition with some wear to the pearls and soiling to the fabric. I has to be one of the most wonderful pieces that I have seen in a long time.
