This particular Footed Chocolate Pot is perhaps one of the "Finest Molds Ever Made" and one of the Most Exquisite Antique Chocolate Pots that I have had the pleasure to own. This gorgeous Limoges France porcelain mold is the "Crème de la Crème" for outstanding delicacy and intricate quality and detail. The pictures just don't do justice of how VERY EXCEPTIONAL this complete set is. This particular set has been artist signed and dated and has been hand painted with an Absolute Stunning Bouquet of PINK Roses ~ nestled in wonderful multi-colored foliage. The Artist has truly captured each petal and fine leaf with the utmost delicacy creating an utterly breathtaking still life palette.
This technique of china hand painted in the naturalistic floral art style was so very popular around the Turn-of-the-Century. Overall Condition of this Beauty is Excellent to Near Mint Condition, Sterling quality, with the china painting very well preserved. I find no chips, cracks, paint loss, surface scratches, or gold loss. The Chocolate Pot measures a stunning 11.5 inches tall and nearly 6 inches wide toward the bottom, the matching large tray measures 13x 16 inches, each cup measures 3x3, and each saucer measures 5 inches in diameter. The Chocolate Pot bears the early T&V Limoges mark, underglaze mark (as shown) dated 1909 , the tray bears the Guerin, mark 3 underglaze mark in green (not shown) dated 1911, and each cup and saucer bear the Rosenthal Bavaria mark, (as shown) each dated 1911.
