Truly a Gorgeous Turn-of-the-Century VICTORIAN MASTERPIECE TREASURE ~ This is just an amazing Drop Dead Gorgeous ANTIQUE PORCELAIN HAND PAINTED BELLEEK FOOTED VASE or JARDINIERE, ARTIST SIGNED "S. H. READ" and dated "MAY 1905". THIS RARE AND TRULY ONCE IN A LIFETIME FIND has been hand painted completely in Gorgeous Bouquets of STUNNING PINK, BURGUNDY, and YELLOW ROSES ~ The Artist truly has portrayed it's beauty from all sides ~ Breathtaking Large Tea Roses in full bloom nestled in extraordinary multi-colored foliage on a wonderful soft background. I love how the Artist actually painted a leaf and part of the stem up into the dark green banded rim.

The background shades are Truly Stunning ~ wonderful soft shades of greens, pinks, yellows, and blues. The large rim and footed base have been hand painted in dark forest green with fabulous Heavy Roman Gold trim and wonderful scrolled design. The Ornate applied raised gold feet are lavishly trimmed in gold.

This Beauty has been completely and expertly hand painted by the superbly talented early 20th Century Victorian Artist Period China Painter "S. N. Read". In Excellent Condition ~ I find no chips, cracks, hairlines, paint loss, gold loss, stains, or repairs. For accuracy purposes I do find a few extremely small stress fractures to the underneath unglazed porcelain of the foot where it has been applied to the base.

This piece measures an impressive 9 1/2" tall and is approximately 26 " in circumference at the widest point. The mouth measures 4 1/4" in diameter. A sterling investment quality Art-Porcelain, with the china painting perfectly preserved within a lustrous glass overglaze finish. Marked underneath with the CAC - Ceramic Art Company, Belleek in green, circa 1889-1906. Please email me if you have any questions or would like to see additional photos.
