"PINK & RUBY CARNATIONS" ~ A Gorgeous and Truly Delightful Antique hand painted Ginori Italy Floral Art Plate, handpainted by an early mid 19th Century Italian Ginori porcelain artist.

This is a beautiful richly colored rendering of CARNATIONS, which in Victorian times were more often called 'PINKS' 'DIANTHUS' or 'SWEET WILLIAM" flowers. The Victorians had symbolic meanings for many garden flowers. Carnations symbolized: True Love & Good Luck.

This beauty has been hand painted with beautiful PINK ~ RUBY ~ and WHITE CARNATIONS ~ the artist has skillfully mastered the fluffy, tissue soft flower petals. The gorgeous hues of greens for the variegated foliage, against a complimentary softening green to yellow colored background, with just a delicate hint of soft blues is truly wonderful.

This beauty has been Artist signed 'E Ducci' on the front of the plate. Delicately scalloped, with a raised relief beaded and scrolled border at the rim ~ elegantly decorated with Roman or Coin Gold this beautiful Ginori Plate is the epitome of classic elegance.

This beauty is in Excellent condition, with the china painting perfectly preserved within its still-lustrous 150 year old glass overglaze finish. This 8 3/4" Diameter GINORI DECORATIVE FLORAL ART PLATE bears the Richard Ginori Italy underglaze pottery hallmark in green, in addition to an art studio overglaze backstamp in blue which reads: 'Hand Painted', as well as a third overglaze back-stamp in red which reads: "Ginori Italy", under a royal king's crown.
