This is just an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and Intricate Mold ~ Rosenthal R&C Malmaison Bavaria, ca 1898 - 1906 ~ Fine Antique Porcelain Hand Painted Decorative Floral Art Centerpiece Serving Bowl with a Gorgeous Scalloped Rim Border and Footed Scalloped Base trimmed in lovely heavy coin gold.

This beauty has been completely hand painted by a very talented china painting artist who has adorned this lovely Decorative Serving Bowl with BREATHTAKING PEACH AND YELLOW VICTORIAN TEA ROSES ~ nestled in wonderful greenery and branches. Artist Signed with the initials "B.Mc." ( I have found that the artist actually initialed this bowl twice ~ a rare find, once in green within the leaves, and second in brown, just above the branch). The gorgeous soft palette of the beautiful roses and the lovely background shades of baby blue, mint green, and sweet apricots are so very gentle and soft, portraying a very feminine and elegant touch to this wonderful piece.

This lovely piece measures a wonderful 9 1/2" in diameter, and stands 2 1/2" tall. In Mint Condition. Marked underneath with the Rosenthal, RC Malmaison Bavaria, circa 1898 -1906. (This mark can be found in the reference book "Decorative Plates" by Jim and Susan Harran). Phillip Rosenthal operated a porcelain factory in Selb, Germany in 1879, which produced fine dinnerware, decorative items and figures. This hand painted bowl is made of European 'hard paste' porcelain of the same high quality as the 'hard paste' porcelain made in Limoges, France during this same period. 'Hard Paste' porcelain tends not to 'craze' with age, as does 'soft paste' porcelain and English bone china.
