Awesome, Rare, Limoges Covered Urn/Vase; Roses, Lid, Handpainted

This is a pretty rare mold in itself; it's even more difficult to find this urn with the lid intact. This is a beautiful D&Co. covered urn or vase that has wonderful handles and a terrific lid that has a Moorish look to it with it's cut out design work. On top of the lid is a very unusual finial. This awesome piece is handpainted with deep Maroon Roses with their leaves and unopened buds on the front; turn it around and the artist has painted lively, happy Daisies with blue Forget Me Nots around the flowers. The background colors are beautifully blended. The handles and the finial are painted in soft green with a blue touch. This is a wonderful, eye catching urn.

The Urn/Vase stands about 9 1/4" to the top of the finial and 5 1/2" from handle to handle. It is a perfect cabinet size vase.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines and virtually no wear. It looks like it has been in a cabinet it's whole life.

It is marked with Delinieres & Co. mark 3, 1894-1900.
