Rosenthal pedestal bowl gold repousse base c. 1900

An antique porcelain bowl that features a gold repousse base and a Dresden flower motif. This elegant piece is narrow at the bottom then flares out at the rim. We find the top rim gilded as well as the bottom. The porcelain is pristine white in contrast.

Hallmarked by the Rosenthal Factory this also tells us in German that the design is by Philip Rosenthal, founder of Rosenthal Porcelain. The mark helps us date this to just after the turn of the 20th Century.

Measuring 8 inches wide at the top and this sits 3 inches tall. We find one area on the base missing a bit of gold. Our camera would not focus on this. Nothing alarming to this rare item from a renowned porcelain factory.
