An antique Victorian porcelain chocolate pot that features a raised scalloped base and bridal roses for decoration. We find small pink roses and vines along the hand applied gold covered rims. The white porcelain body has complimentary roses and swags of green wreaths. This is very fine porcelain!
Hallmarked with the MZ Austria eagle mark with written and impressed numbers helps us date this to c. 1880's.
Measuring 9 inches tall to top of lid we find a small fissure in the glaze on the interior of the pot. This is the glaze only and does not show through into the porcelain body. We have priced this accordingly. This is a very elegant piece for your collection.
