An antique porcelain tea set that features a blue Delft decoration. We see scenes of cows, windmills and sailboats. We also see a circle pattern in between the subjects that remind us of grapes on the vine. The decoration is a nice vibrant blue against white porcelain which really makes it stand out.
We have not seen a blue Delft decorated Rudolstadt set before. The porcelain itself is very fine, delicate soft paste and is typical of this factory which competed with R.S. Prussia porcelain items. We would place this c. 1900 or just before. Delft was quite popular at the turn of the 20th Century.
The pot measures 7.5 inches spout to handle wide and 6 inches high. The sugar measures 5.5 inches handle to handle wide and 4.25 inches high. The creamer measure 5 inches spout to handle wide and 3.25 inches high.
We have a few condition issues - the sugar rim has a flake and a repair on the inside area and the pot has a tiny ting off of the spout. Nothing that really takes away from the functionality nor display quality of this set in the least. We have priced accordingly due to these issues.
