Primitive wood butter bowl paddle kitchen decor c. 1920

A wood butter bowl with matching paddle perfect for a primitive piece in your kitchen. Originally this was used after butter was churned. The butter was then put into the bowl and the paddle was used to work the rest of the buttermilk out.

Notice the handle on the paddle has a notched area at the top to hook to the rim of the bowl. We would place this in the 1920s for a time period.

Measuring 15" in diameter with paddle measuring 9" long. This set has a beautiful patina and wood is smooth to the touch without damage.
