An antique porcelain plate featuring a dainty flower decor with a background of pale yellow and white. There is a unique finger hold that is encrusted with gold which helps for passing the plate at tea time. Use for petit fours, cookies, small sandwiches or pastries.
Hallmarked on the back with the Limoges La Porcelaine Limousine mark from the Martial Redon Limoges Factory mark 1 which tells us that this was manufactured c. 1905. Also, we believe the artist Van was a professional studio artist. Studio artists during this time always signed on the front of pieces they personally decorated.
Measuring 8.5" diameter; almost the size of a dinner plate and this without damage. A very unique piece.
