A vintage tray which features hand painted dark pink roses set against a dark green background. The exterior is glazed in a matte finish and the bottom of the tray is left unglazed. This was common practice to help avoid slipping on polished table surfaces when used as a serving for tea or at meal time. We find gold at the handles.
Hallmarked with Favorite Bavaria which was used by the import company of Burley & Tyrrell of Chicago. We find the artist's signature on the front of the tray and there is a date of 1914.
Measuring 17.125" in length by 9.25" in width at widest point we did not find a bit of damage to this. A lovely vintage piece for vanity or tea time.
