Antique glass covered compote Thistle Bryce c. 1872

An antique glass compote decorated with a thistle pattern on the lid and bowl. We see this crowned with a glass thistle as the finial. This is a low stand compote with a wide body.

This pattern was produced by Bryce, Walker & Co. dating ca. 1872 it is known as Thistle.

Measuring 8 inches tall we find this has received some damage over the years. The lid has a ding off of the interior as does the bowl. The thistle finial also has some dings. We have priced accordingly due to this damage. A hard to find item which presents beautifully.
