Antique castor set cut glass cruets etched Derby Silver stand c. 1880s
Based on the Derby silver mark on the bottom of the stand we would place this in the late c. 1880's. We did not polish the stand but did wash with Haggerty's silver wash. There is not damage to the stand nor the silver tops to the bottles. The silver does retain patina.
The stand is 11" tall and 5" square at the base. The tallest cruet is 7". We find the mustard and pepper cruets have some chips on them; possible from hitting the handle. These go unnoticed when sitting in the holder. One of the cruet stoppers has end damage which goes unnoticed when in the bottle. All in all, we would say that this is in very good antique condition. Hard to find this type of set with cut glass bottles.
