German porcelain bowl hand painted draped scalloped edge signed

A vintage porcelain console bowl featuring an elaborately painted draped edge. The artist has decorated with pink roses and thick gold making panels of designs. The interior and exterior are also painted a light cream with the base trimmed in gold to match the rim.

We find Germany on the inside bottom of the bowl and the artist has signed on the rim C. Scala. We would place this in the first quarter of the 20th Century based on the mold design.

A bit hard to capture the diameter because of the draped edge but this measures approximately 13" across x 3.5" tall. Perfect for a fruit bowl or just for show.
