Hermann Ohme teapot bridal rose design Carmen

An antique porcelain teapot featuring a Victorian mold with scalloped rims, arched spout, and a pretty ruffled raised base. The decoration is a delicate pink bridal rose design with leaves surrounding the pot in a garland pattern.

Hallmarked with the Hermann Ohme factory hallmark and "Carmen" which tells us that manufacturing for this is c. 1892.

Measures 8.25" high, 8.25" handle to spout wide, 20" circumference at bottom; approximately a 4 cup capacity. We found a spot underneath the spout that is half moon shaped and slightly discolored. There is glaze over this area which leads us to believe it was done in the manufacturing process. Under a black light, there appears to be absolutely no repairs, cracks, chips, etc. with only slight wear to the decoration and some staining in the interior.
