Antique doll toy tea set Heubach German porcelain c. 1882

An antique toy tea set featuring fabulous hand applied pink rose decoration and gold on each and every piece. There are 19 pieces which include the lids to teapot and sugar bowl.

The tea pot has the Gebruder Heubach sunburst mark with DEP at the very bottom. This tell us that it was manufactured in 1882 and the country of origin is Germany.

The teapot measures 3 1/2 inches high, the creamer 1 3/4 inches high, sugar 2 inches high, cup 1 1/4 inches high, saucers and tea plates are 2 5/8 inches in diameter.

We find a few nips on some of the saucer rims but other than that this set is in fine condition. Included is the box bottom that each piece fits into perfectly. We don't believe this was played with all that much. We see extra slip here and there on which is typical for a child's play set from the 19th Century.

You will be hard pressed to find another tea set from the renowned factory of dolls and figurines. As you can see from our many photos, for it's age, this set is in remarkable condition. If you are a collector of Heubach dolls then this set is for you!
