Antique 1867 2 Volume Set of John Greenleaf Whittier Complete Works Poetry Poem Books

This neat old set was for "The Poetical Works of John Greenleaf Whittier Complete in Two Volumes". These were printed in 1867 by Ticknor and Fields. These are his complete works in two volumes. Each is app. 5.5"x3.75". Each has embossed cloth covered hard boards of dark blue with gold spine lettering and gold gilt edges. These are in very good condition overall with some corner, edge, spine wear and bumping. There is a faded spot on the front cover of Volume II as shown. Both has a sticker inside of former owner and names in ink of former owner. Both have very small near the spine old water staining which goes through some of the books. Volume II the back hinge is cracked. All pages are intact and the bindings in both volumes. There is toning with age. There are no offensive odors.
